Junipers (pre-preschool) Room

Our Junipers room, also known as our 'Pre-preschool' room caters for children during those ever so special 'questioning years.' In this room, our environment and our childcare approach is adapted to foster the growing inquisitive nature and independence of these children.

The Juniper room is designed to embody the enjoyable and inspiring experience their early years educational experience should be. It features a mark-making area, a mathematics area, a 'reading garden,' sand and water play, malleable play, a role-play area, a construction and small world area as well as encouraged access to a variety of art media and materials.

What we do...

With growing independence comes new and exciting challenges for these children, such as, toilet-training, self-cleanliness and hygiene, dressing routines (and the determination to do everything themselves!) All of which, our dedicated staff team are on hand to support these next steps at nursery and at home.

Perhaps the most exciting and definitely the most amount of fun that comes with spending the day with these children is their readiness to question, absorb and become fascinated by the world around them. We love using the children's interest to plan for the learning environment around them and the activities on offer to support them as they flourish on their early year’s education journey.

 

About our teaching...

This is the stage where we focus on encouraging the children to make positive choices as we support their evolving personal, social and emotional development to socialise with their peers, form special friendships and learn turn-taking and sharing skills as they establish confidence in their unique characters and personalities in this big world!

 

 

Key Person...

All of our rooms are upheld by our highly-motivated and passionate team of practitioners that strive to support your child every step of their Early Years Journey at Tiddly Winks Nursery. Your child will also be assigned a ‘key person’ who will be on hand from their settling in and building first relationships in the room, planning for their next developmental steps and capturing their milestones met to share with those closest to them. Our talented team are here to support your child both at home and at nursery and to be on hand for comfort and cuddles when needed.
